Tomorrow’s Kitchen disposable cutting boards

For an online video about disposable chopping boards, I illustrated a storyboard. Reflecting a light vector style. It shows the use of the cuttingboards and their sustainability.

The chopping boards, made from drinkcarton, would be more hygenic.

Spicy foods will no longer contaminate other foods.

Nor will foods with strong odours or flavours be a problem. As you can simply discard the cuttingboard after use. Or flip it around.

The boards also make it very easy to add your ingredients to the pan because they are easy to fold.

Made from drink carton with a biodegradable coating, they are fully recyclable. The paper used is from FSC approved sources.

Bespaarbieb

In a work in progress project, I designed an A0 sized popup dollhouse folio, fully working & animatronic for “de Bespaarbieb”.

De Bespaarbieb is a nonprofit organisation in Utrecht, providing information and products for sustainabal housing. Insolation solutions, solar panels, heatpumps, sunboilers and watersaving showerheads, LED lighting or saving appliances. The concept 3d design is the promotional dollhouse, fitted in a folio sized case, for easy travel. It is designed to be a fully working and animatronic dollhouse sized house.A landingpage will be made alongside to provide further explanation and the possibility to go over the information again in the comfort of your own home. With a rasberry pi to control everything, the final popup house will have working lighting and solar panels and a moving sun. Dollhouse furniture and energy or water saving appliances will be 3d printed and added to the house.

Pim Dekkers Design Distrikt tradeshowstand

For Design Distrikt tradeshow in the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam. Pim Dekkers and OOMP worked closely together to design and build the stand.

Combining various techniques such as laser cutting, vinyl cutting we designed a stand for a cradle to cradle dresser cabinet. And the tulip chair by Christoph Karl from South africa.

OOMP provided art direction, design skills. And of course manufactured the signage.

Pim Dekkers, Cradle to cradle furniture CAD

Designs for a series of cradle to cradle furniture for Pim Dekkers Contemporary Designs. A clear exercise in furniture made from a bent cradle to cradle sheet material. Initially a pressure moulding process was used to bend the sheets in a 90 degree angle with a curved fillet.

Subsequently the moulded sheets were milled on a five axis CNC. These manufacturing techniques drove the designs.

Allowing the sheets to be assembled through jointing and grooves. OOMP designed and provided the CAD models, made in Autodesk Fusion 360.

The final product was displayed at the 2017 Dutch Design week, by Pim Dekkers himself.

Saab winter promotion

Saab’s aftersales promotional miniwebsite. Customers received a postcard in the mail with a unique code. The code would be entered on this animated website banner. Then, like a scratch lottery ticket, the customer would scrape the ice fromĀ the windshield to see what they won. View project “Saab winter promotion”
